Construction

The day after New Year's we made a quick trip down to the beach to see the work that is being done on the new beach cabin. It's coming along alot quicker than we thought!! The boys are always so excited to go because they miss being there as much as we used to be. My dad and brothers started on the wiring and the window and doors have now gone in. We couldn't be of much help so we went down to the beach searching for "treasures." Can't wait for the summer!!!

New Pics

Here are some new pics I took over the holidays. Katherine is so cute pregnant, Katie and Robert are such a cute couple with their dog Martini as are my little brother John and his girlfriend, Ashley. We actually call her Kashley because we told her that since all of us are "K" names (Kerrie, Kelly, Katherine, Katie) she has to be too! And I hope I look as good as my parents do when I get older! My mom doesn't age!!!!

Christmas 09

Here are some pictures from Christmas. We start out by having lunch at my parents house and then we have supper at Michael's parents house. We take a family picture every year and it's so fun to see little new faces join our group.

More Train Pics

Posted by Picasa

Every year it has become a tradition to go ride the Christmas Train at the Living Stones church in Alvin. The boys look forward to it and this year was no exception. It's a fun event with cotton candy, coffee, music, decorations, kettle corn (my favorite) and of course the train. It's always pretty cold when we go, so we bundle up and head out with some of our best friends. This year we went with the Giles' Family, the Wignall's, and the Hunt's. I really like having our own traditions as a family. I hope when the kids get older they can look back and have good memories of this each year.

Well, I have not been very good at keeping up with "Not Me" Mondays so here goes....

It is not me who gained 9 pounds from Thanksgiving. Ugh... OK. No eating food for the next month.

It was definitely not me who found a tupperware in the back of the fridge that I actually wasn't sure what it was that I had cooked.

And you won't find me taking a bubble bath almost every night, reading a book, just to have a "mini vacation" away from everything... No, not me.

It was not me who really didn't enjoy the hustle and bustle of Christmas this year. Last minute shopping, all the presents, stress... I think the true meaning of the whole holiday is skewed. Where did it go? Me included.

It is also not me who gets frustrated with people who don't recognize Christ at all as God and still celebrate "Christmas" by getting and giving gifts...What?

OK...Here's a big confession. It was definitely NOT ME who got a speeding ticket for the FIRST time in my 34 years of existing. Mr. Police Officer, I was not going 59 mph in a 45. No, it was not me. AND, I was NOT on the phone with Michael when that happened. Dang, Friendswood police....Nothing better to do... Wonder how much that baby is gonna cost me?

It is also not me (a 34 year old, stay-at-home mom) who is totally addicted to the Twilight Saga. Nope, not me. I am definitely not on Edward and Jacob fan. Nope. It was also not me who went with a friend while our kids were at school to see New Moon.

Cub Scouts

The boys are so excited to have joined Cub Scouts in December. They have already learned so much and are very excited to get more patches. I have to say I have always been a little leary of letting them join because of selfish reasons. I had a bad sterotype of the uniforms just because...well you know... Anyway, after hearing about what they learn about and teach, I was all for it. There are hardly any clubs, groups, etc. that emphasize God, Country, integrity, good morals, and just plain being a boy!
How cute are they?
